Our perfectionist standards can influence every part of our lives, and can prevent us from finding peace and happiness in the present.
While some of these high standards can be really amazing positive motivators, without careful attention they can become self-critical and destructive.
What does it feel like to practice acceptance? To say - I am wanted, I am valuable, I am worthy, I am more than enough. I can listen to what I want, and I can ask for what I deserve.
MAINTAINING IDENTITY AND BALANCE
How do we know who we are, and what we want, when it is so hard to find space to listen to ourselves? We are quick to compare ourselves to standards we see around us, but do we even want what we see?
We make ourselves smaller, and lose sight of who we are. When was the last time we stopped to ask what we actually value before deciding we aren't enough?
Reminding ourselves - I don't have to make myself smaller to fit in. I ask myself - what do I want? What do I value? I am a creator, a trailblazer, a super power.
